CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR (Odessa, NY)

Construction Inspector

The goal of JHA is to serve our clients and each other by pursuing excellence, leading others to success, and honoring God in all that we do.  JHA is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector with a commitment to teamwork, integrity, and continuous growth.   

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Support project engineers as client liaison with contractors
  • Remain on job site through entirety of project’s construction
  • Oversee construction progress and ensure compliance with schedules, contracts, and standards.
  • Track quantities and oversee testing of equipment and systems, creating punch lists and ensuring corrections are made.
  • Maintain detailed reports of work progress, equipment, and materials
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, agencies, and contractors
  • Attend meetings and maintain safety protocols.
  • Review payment applications and provide recommendations
  • Inspect construction components using technical references

Requirements: 

  • Construction experience multidisciplinary projects such as water/wastewater treatment facilities, utility, and/or site-civil work
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Ability to work outside in different weather conditions and stand for long periods while overseeing critical tasks
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel
