Survey Project Leader

For this role, we expect you to have a minimum of a 2-year (4-year preferred) Surveying degree with 3 to 5 years of prior field experience and professionally be on a track to become a licensed Professional Land Surveyor or already have obtained licensure in Pennsylvania. Civil 3D CAD Designer - Multiple Locations

As a Civil 3D CAD Drafter/Designer at JHA, you fulfill a vital role on a team that is providing real solutions to make our world a better place. We are a multi-disciplinary engineering, land surveying & environmental consulting firm, with a growing team of professionals in multiple locations throughout northeastern PA, the southern tier of NY, and eastern OH. The ideal candidate should have at least 2-4 years of experience utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Civil in site layout, grading, profiling, erosion control and storm water management. Preference will be given to candidates with at least a 2-year degree from a site civil related program. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. The position includes working as part of a project team on land development, utility transmission and distribution, water and wastewater, and stormwater management projects.

Essential Functions

  • Create and modify CAD drawings for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Develop survey maps and layouts and assist surveyors with design projects
  • Design plats and pads for energy and land development projects
  • Review own work for accuracy, completeness and compliance with industry and client standards
