JHA Companies was engaged to provide design services for a proposed guest stair addition at The Lodge at Woodloch, with the goal of improving vertical circulation and enhancing access to upper-level guest rooms. Though the addition was ultimately not constructed, the project represented a highly coordinated and thoughtful effort to expand functionality while preserving the Lodge’s distinctive design character. To ensure accuracy and seamless integration, JHA performed 3D scanning of the Lodge’s exterior. Using advanced equipment, the team captured every architectural detail of the existing structure—rooflines, siding patterns, trim profiles, and material transitions—to inform a design that would appear as a natural extension of the building. This digital survey allowed for precise modeling, reduced guesswork, and supported a high degree of confidence during the design phase.

JHA Companies partnered with Woodloch Pines Resort to support the renovation and repurposing of an underutilized event space to accommodate the resort’s growing reservations team. With a large conference room and movie room seeing reduced guest usage in recent years, resort leadership saw an opportunity to better utilize the space by converting it into a functional office area for their expanding staff.

JHA Companies worked closely with the leadership at Woodloch Resorts to develop a permanent solution for the seasonal patio dining area at the Woodloch Springs Clubhouse. This well-loved space, overlooking the picturesque golf course, was a popular setting for casual dining and small events. Traditionally covered by a large canvas awning, the patio had become increasingly susceptible to damage from severe weather, prompting the resort to explore a more durable, long-term structure.

JHA Companies partnered with The Lodge at Woodloch to address growing overcrowding in the resort’s back-of-house service areas. Since the Lodge’s opening, employee spaces had become increasingly strained, with staff functions, storage, and programming gradually encroaching into corridors and non-designated areas. The existing building was stretched to its limits, creating operational inefficiencies and safety concerns.
