Trehab and Towanda Borough partnered to develop a 38-unit senior housing apartment building with commercial space on the first floor on Main Street in Towanda Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Trehab engaged JHA to provide site surveying, site engineering, and project permitting for this new facility in the historic district of the Borough. This location is immediately accessible to the major US Route 6 east-west corridor in the County.
JHA provided land surveying services, including property topographic surveying, to locate existing features and generate contours, as well as boundary surveying to establish the existing boundary and complete a combination survey for the project parcel.
JHA also completed a complicated subdivision for the Borough to consolidate their properties at and around the project site. JHA provided mapping and a legal description to allow the combination deed to be completed. In addition, JHA completed an ALTA/NSPS Survey for the project site.
Site Engineering services included coordination with the County and Borough on the subdivision, the preparation of Land Development documents necessary for approval of the project by the Bradford County Planning Commission, including the County application, land development drawings, an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, a Post-Construction Stormwater Management Plan and a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit (HOP). The result of the project was a beautiful, new senior housing development where people could call home.
