JHA Companies, working with a natural gas client, assisted in the engineering, planning and permitting of a 3.5-mile natural gas distribution system expansion project in Athens Township, Athens Borough, and Sayre Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.

The JHA gas engineering group, survey, and environmental crews collected the required field data for the creation of the site basemapping with JHA drone survey services. JHA is creating alignment sheets, tie in details, HDD plan & profiles for the crossing of the Susquehanna River and all necessary permit plans and reports to obtain permit approvals from PADEP, PennDOT, and municipal agencies for the project construction.

Additionally, JHA is also obtaining the necessary Submerged Land License Agreements from the DEP & State offices for the directional drill planned under the Susquehanna River. JHA will also be assisting the client with construction management services on this project to help bid, award and manage the project construction. This project was awarded a PA PIPE grant for construction from Senator Yaw’s office in 2018 and underwent construction in the spring of 2019.
