JHA Companies provided structural and interior fit-out design services for a proposed 1,600-square-foot server room to support the client’s expanding operations. Mechanical and electrical systems were designed in collaboration with a specialized subconsultant to meet the rigorous demands of a high-performance data environment.

What specific challenges did you face during this project, and how did JHA Companies solve them?

The project involved reinforcing the existing floor structure to support increased equipment loads, installing a new roof system, and integrating a dedicated mechanical system to maintain critical environmental conditions within the server room. A new electrical service was also designed to meet the room’s power needs, with system reliability enhanced through the addition of two 200kW natural gas generators installed on a new concrete pad behind the facility. This project demonstrates JHA’s ability to deliver coordinated, infrastructure-driven design solutions that support complex technical operations within existing facilities.
