Nikolas Decker, a northeastern Pennsylvania native, has been a part of the JHA team for 4 years. He graduated with an Associates of Science in Surveying Technology from Penn State Wilkes-Barre in 2012. After graduating, Nik began working as a surveyor in Binghamton, NY where he did construction stakeouts and residential surveys. After a year, he took an opportunity near Pittsburgh, PA as a Survey Technician primarily working on pipeline stakeouts and as-built surveys. In 2014, Nik was hired at JHA as a Survey Technician, and over the course of 3 years, he grew into the role of Pipeline Crew Leader. In 2017, Nik went back to working in Binghamton as a Survey Technician and assisted in managing the survey department for four years before coming back to JHA in 2021. When Nik re-joined the JHA team, he took on the role of Project Leader and mentor of the Delhi team. Nik has over 8 years of surveying experience in upstate New York which has given him a unique perspective and passion for growing the visibility and reach of the surveying team in Delhi.
Outside of work, Nik can almost always be found outside. He loves to spend time in the woods hunting or with his dog, Ginger, who can also be found with him in the Delhi office location most days. If Nik isn’t in the woods, he enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends.
