It’s good to be wanted! Before even hearing about a potential Survey Technician role at JHA, Nick Myers got an email from JHA owner, Joe Hunt, hoping to interview him for an open position. Originally from Montrose, PA, Nick wanted to move back to the area, but he wasn’t really looking to change jobs at the time. As a graduate of PSU Wilkes-Barre with a bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering, Nick had been offered a position at a company in Moosic, PA but decided to come to work at JHA Companies instead. When we asked him why, Nick said that JHA simply had a better offer…health benefits, location, and competitive pay. Starting out, Nick worked from the Montrose location of JHA as a survey field technician for 2-3 years. As he grew in his experience and skill, Nick was pulled into an office role with occasional visits to the field. Now working from the Moosic location of JHA, Nick helps with mapping, deed research, and assisting Survey Project Leaders in any way possible. When asked why he likes working at JHA Companies, Nick said, “JHA is super friendly; there’s no drama or politics. I never come to work dreading it. You always hear horror stories of other companies, but those types of things never happen at JHA.”
Outside of work, Nick enjoys archery hunting, being outdoors, and golf with his wife Mallory, whom he married one month ago, on August 21.
