June 21, 2022 |Architectural Designer Gauri Kshirsagar went through quite a journey before arriving at JHA a year ago! Gauri grew up in India just outside of Mumbai, where she attended A.B. College of Architecture and obtained a Bachelor of Architecture in 2004. After graduation, Gauri and her husband moved to America. In 2006, Gauri took a job at T.P. Studio working on institutional buildings as an intern and designer in Scottsdale, AZ. She has always been inspired by American Architecture and loves the freeform of design found within it. After a year, Gauri and her husband made the move to Allentown, PA. While living there, Gauri traveled to Philadelphia, where she worked at YCH Architects on residential and restaurant interior design. After two years, she received an opportunity at Stofanak Cabinetry where she worked on Residential and Commercial millwork. In 2015, she took a job at Base Engineering working on conceptual design, construction, and documentation. After several years working there, Gauri wanted to try her hand at the corporate world and took a job at Guardian Life Insurance as a CAD/CAFM Specialist. After one year, she chose to go back into the design field as a Project Manager at Architectural Polymers before joining JHA in April 2021. Gauri has always wanted to be a part of the two fields of Civil Engineering and Architecture, and that is what drew her to JHA. Our team has both opportunities for her to grow and flourish, Gauri is working towards being a Registered Architect, and is hoping to have her certification within two years.

Outside of work, Gauri loves to host events, read books (typically autobiographies on overcoming different life challenges), photography, and volunteer at her local Hindu Temple. She has been married to her husband, Tushar, for 17 years. They have a son, Hridhaan, who is 12 years old and just finished 7th grade. Gauri tries to visit her family in India about once a year since her entire family lives there.
