The Vet Davis Road bridge on T-610 was a concrete deck bridge set atop concrete abutments that were severely damaged by flooding in 2018. The flooding resulted in the structural degradation of the bridge structure. JHA Companies was retained to design a replacement structure to comply with all state and local government requirements. The project was funded through FEMA/PEMA emergency declaration funds.
The existing 14-foot single span, single lane bridge is to be removed and replaced with an appropriately sized structure. JHA Companies evaluated the hydraulic and hydrologic analysis of the 3-square mile drainage basin and presented viable options for approval by the supervisors to proceed with the final design and preparation of a GP-11 permit, complete with plans and specifications formatted and ready for bidding.
JHA administered the bidding and construction management phases of the project, including with submittal review, inspections and quality assurance reporting during construction, submittal and payment requisition reviews and recommendations, and inter-agency coordination.
