Woodloch Pines Kitchen Expansion JHA Companies partnered with Woodloch Pines Resort to evaluate the feasibility of a future kitchen expansion at the resort’s primary lodge building—one of the oldest and most historically modified structures on the property. Over the years, the building has seen numerous additions and renovations, including an earlier initiative involving a commercial kitchen designer to modernize the existing kitchen. However, the logistical challenge of performing major construction without disrupting continuous food service led to the project being put on hold.
Camp IHC Barn As part of its long-range vision, IHC sought to revitalize its lakefront by removing several aging camp buildings. To replace the displaced functions—namely a flexible space for group assemblies and an evening canteen—the camp repurposed a portion of its adjacent sports fields to create a new, centrally located multiuse facility.
The Lodge at Woodloch Storage Building JHA Companies partnered with The Lodge at Woodloch to address growing overcrowding in the resort’s back-of-house service areas. Since the Lodge’s opening, employee spaces had become increasingly strained, with staff functions, storage, and programming gradually encroaching into corridors and non-designated areas. The existing building was stretched to its limits, creating operational inefficiencies and safety concerns.
Woodloch Springs Pavilion JHA Companies worked closely with the leadership at Woodloch Resorts to develop a permanent solution for the seasonal patio dining area at the Woodloch Springs Clubhouse. This well-loved space, overlooking the picturesque golf course, was a popular setting for casual dining and small events. Traditionally covered by a large canvas awning, the patio had become increasingly susceptible to damage from severe weather, prompting the resort to explore a more durable, long-term structure.
Woodloch Pines Reservations Alteration JHA Companies partnered with Woodloch Pines Resort to support the renovation and repurposing of an underutilized event space to accommodate the resort’s growing reservations team. With a large conference room and movie room seeing reduced guest usage in recent years, resort leadership saw an opportunity to better utilize the space by converting it into a functional office area for their expanding staff.
Pennsylvania State Police Barracks Addition JHA Companies was contracted to design a building addition for the existing Pennsylvania State Police Barracks in Blooming Grove, PA. The primary objective was to provide a secure, enclosed garage space for police vehicles and apparatus—enhancing safety, security, and operational readiness for law enforcement personnel. Given the facility’s critical role in emergency response, the addition was designed to meet stringent life safety and structural resilience standards. The new space complies with current building codes for emergency shelter operations, ensuring it can function as a secure and stable command center during extreme conditions.
